An unvented cylinder stores hot water at mains pressure rather than relying on a cold tank in the loft. That means strong, balanced pressure at every tap and shower in the house, and it frees up the loft space the old tanks occupied.

It depends on how many bathrooms you have and how they are used, not on the size of the house alone. As a rough guide, a three-bathroom family home usually needs between 210 and 300 litres. We size it against your actual demand and measured mains flow rate.

Yes, annually. The expansion vessel, pressure reducing valve and the temperature and pressure relief valves all need checking to keep the cylinder safe and working correctly. We are G3 qualified and can service cylinders that other companies installed.

Yes. Unvented hot water systems are stored under pressure and legally require a G3 qualification to install or work on. We hold G3 and notify installations as required. Always ask to see an installer G3 registration before letting them touch your cylinder.

It needs adequate mains flow and pressure, which is why we measure both at your property before specifying anything. If your supply is not sufficient we will say so and discuss alternatives such as an accumulator, rather than fitting a system that disappoints you.
